James’ late free-kick against Bournemouth in January marked his return to the Premier League and he has never looked back.
He featured in 28 of Chelsea’s 35 games in all competitions during the second half of last season and has featured in all but one Premier League game this season.
He created five big chances in the league, scoring two goals and assisting three, and his consistency helped him cross the 200-game milestone for Chelsea in October.
