Instagram has announced Enhanced Tags on Reels, which will allow creators to get credit for their work. The enhanced tagging feature for Instagram Feed was launched in March, but now the social media platform is rolling out the same feature to Reels. Previously, users found other ways to trust each other, such as tagging each other in captions or photos on the platform, but according to the company, now they can also give trust directly by tagging them in Reels.
“Enhanced Tags allows creators to self-specify profile categories on their professional accounts to appear in their People tags so that people can share and see a creator’s specific contributions to a photo or video post. Since Reels continues to be the largest contributor to engagement growth on Instagram, we’re excited to extend Enhanced Tags to Reels. Simply put, if you’re a makeup artist, songwriter, or other key collaborator on a post, your contributions will be more visible in the post or Reel,” Instagram explained in a post. Instagram posts.

To date, the Instagram community has come together to support creators and found alternative ways to trust each other, such as tagging each other in captions and photos, so we are now bringing this feature to our product.”
Additionally, Instagram is reportedly testing a new feature called Templates for Reels, which gives creators the option to create reels by borrowing the format from other videos on the platform. Using this feature, users can easily borrow the format of another reel and replace the video with their own content.
