Instagram Reels Remix: Here’s How to Make TikTok Duet Like Videos

Instagram Reels remix main 1619175124013

Instagram users have been obsessed with the new Remix feature lately, which lets you put Reels together with other users’ videos. It’s a fun way to interact, collaborate, and interact with others on the app. You can sing, dance, imitate or record reaction videos with other Reels. This feature is very similar to TikTok Duet, so if you’re thinking about how to use it, here’s a simple guide.

You can also check out our tutorial on how to add lyrics and songs to your Instagram Stories to make them fun to watch.

How to Remix Instagram Reels

  1. Open any scroll and click three points and select “Remix this reel”.
  1. You will now see the original reels placed next to the space where you can add your own reels. You can choose to record your reel directly from here, or upload a pre-recorded video from the gallery.
  1. Then, add and select arrow button on the left.
  1. Once added, you can now make changes such as adding filters, speeding up the tempo, adjusting audio levels, or adding a voiceover to the video.
  1. When you’re ready with your video, tap Share to It’s done at the bottom.

How to enable or disable remix on reels

This remix feature only works on newly uploaded reels, so if you want people to be able to remix your old reels, you can manually enable the feature by clicking three points on your own video and select Enable mix. However, if you want to turn off remixing on the reels, you can select Disable mixing.

You can watch your Remix Reels on the Reels tab and see who has remixed your Reels through Instagram’s Activity tab.
