It’s a new day, and no, the ban on TikTok hasn’t been lifted. Instead, Facebook-owned Instagram has launched a new feature called Reels, which is basically a clone of short, TikTok-style videos. TikTok makes it super easy to download and share videos, but Instagram Reels doesn’t. In this article, we will explain how to download Instagram Reels on Android or iPhone.
Instagram Reels: How to Save
Here’s how to save Instagram Reels in the app, follow the steps below.
- Open instagram > click search > Open The Reels video you want to download.
- Alternatively, you can also visit user information > hit new Scrolls tabyou’ll notice it’s now next to the IGTV tab > choose The Reels video you want to download and Open it.
- After the video loads, click the three dots icon > click save.
- To access saved Reels videos, go back Go to the Instagram home screen > tap your profile icon > click Burger icon > click set up > go account > go Saved.

The second method is for people who have an Android phone and want to store these short videos locally on their device. Here’s how.
- Go to Google Play and download Video Downloader for Instagram – Repost Instagram.
- After installing the application, Open it and set it up.
- After the application is set up, go back to Instagram and choose The Reels video you want to download and Open it.
- click now three dots icon then click copy Link.
- Open recently downloaded Instagram video downloader The application and the URL you just copied will be automatically pasted there.

Next, if you’re using an iPhone, there’s an app that lets you store Instagram Reels. Follow these orders.
- Go to the App Store and download InSaver for Instagram.

Finally, the last method we recommend will allow you to store Instagram Reels via screen recording. You can use this method if you don’t want to download third-party apps on your device. Follow these orders.
- On iPhone, make sure Screen Recording is added to Control Center.go set up > control center > custom control. now add screen recording.
- on instagram, Open The Reels video you want to download.
- Now swipe up from the bottom of the screen to reveal Control Center.tap start recording To start recording a video, go to instagram and Play video. Once done, stop Screen recording by clicking the red bar at the top > stop. The video will be automatically saved in the Photos app.
- If you’re using an Android phone, you can record your screen using the built-in screen recorder (if your phone has one) or a third-party app.
- If your phone doesn’t have a screen recorder, go to Google Play and install Mobizen Screen Recorder. After installation, Open the application and set it up.
- After that, just return instagram > Play The video you want to download > click on the float screen recorder icon then click camera button Start screen recording.
- When done, click stop button Stop recording. Your screen recording video will be automatically saved in your phone’s gallery.
