Instagram announced a new update of branded content on its platform, including the “branded content tag” feature in Reels. Instagram has posted branded content tags to Reels and will soon also post to Live.
“We want to ensure that creators can clearly disclose their content when creating branded content, no matter which format they choose to use. In order to increase transparency, the Branded Content label was published on Reels today and will be tested in the next Live. Weeks”, Instagram said in its official blog.
Instagram has also launched a new workflow where advertisers will be able to create branded content ads without having to post naturally on Instagram first.
As a result, when brands want to place branded content ads, they will have more flexibility and fewer restrictions.
Branded content ads in Instagram stories can now contain clickable elements such as @mentions, location, and hashtags.
Instagram said in its blog post: “We want brands to use organic Stories ideas, which are local and authentic to the Stories experience.”
Instagram recently launched a feature that allows businesses and creators to set a minimum age for branded content feeds on Instagram.
Now creators can choose to set a default minimum age or a country-specific minimum age, or a combination of both.
