Steven Gerrard claims Chelsea should be worried about Everton

The Blues are currently three points behind fifth-placed Liverpool, who have played one more game, and six behind Villa and Manchester United.

Champions League qualification is said to be crucial for Liam Roney and failure could deal a fatal blow to their hopes of finishing in the top five.

After Liverpool’s loss to Wolves, Gerrard claimed the Toffees could put pressure on the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool.

“Yeah, it’s really good [season],” he told TNT Sports.

“David Moyes has been brilliant at Everton. They’ve done really well and I’m sure they’ll slip through the back door into those European teams.”

“We know he likes the Division League. He’s done it before so I think they’ll put pressure on the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea and Brentford.”

Everton have quietly had a very good season under the leadership of former Chelsea player Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
