Former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) warned Americans this week to take President Donald Trump seriously when he talks about seeking an unconstitutional third term.
In an interview with SiriusXM host Megyn Kelly on Monday, Green noted that Trump has repeatedly said he doesn’t think he will go to heaven and questioned what that means for the mental state of someone “who is nearing the end of his life.”

Kelly noted that Trump had said he was shameless, but Greene pushed back.
“I don’t think the president is joking. I know the man very well,” Green said. She was part of the president’s inner circle and often stood by him at events until a row last year over his push to release documents on Jeffrey Epstein.
“He repeatedly said he was not going to heaven as he repeatedly said, ‘What do you think? Should I run for president again?'” she said. “We could treat it as a joke at first, but I don’t think he was joking.”
Trump has frequently publicly speculated about running for a third term, which is expressly prohibited by the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution.
POLITICS: Republicans in disarray over Trump’s Iran war
Just last week, Trump said he had a “right” to be re-elected.
He’s selling 2028 merchandise, and key insiders like Steve Bannon predict he will.
“He’s going to get a third term,” Bannon told The Economist last year. “Trump is going to be president in ’28 and people should get used to that.”
But Trump has at times backed down, admitting last year that the Constitution does not allow it.
POLITICS: Trump chooses to attack Iran days later, causing global chaos
“I would say if you read it, it’s pretty clear,” he admitted. “I wasn’t allowed to escape. Obviously, it was too bad.”
