FASTag top-ups can come in handy when you are from one city to another and you don’t have the proper balance in your FASTag account. Various apps offer FASTag top-up options. In this article, we will discuss how to top up your FASTag using Google Pay. Google launched the UPI top-up option for FASTag through the Google Pay app in January last year. It allows you to easily top up your FASTag account, which you can use to pay for tolls seamlessly when crossing Indian city borders.

Before we get started, it’s important to note that you must know your FASTag issuer in order to top up accurately. You also need to link your FASTag account before making any top-ups.

How to top up your FASTag with Google Pay

Since you will need to link your FASTag account first, the steps below cover the linking part and provide details on how to top up your FASTag using Google Pay.

  1. Now, click new payment button.

  2. Type “FASTag” in the search bar.

  3. Scroll down to find your FASTag’s issuing bank and select exactly one.

  4. Now, click let’s start button.

  5. You will now need to enter your vehicle number (no spaces) and provide an account name such as “My Vehicle” or your car model name for easy future access.

  6. click link account button at the bottom of the screen.

  7. View your account information, including account holder name and vehicle number.

  8. After checking, press the link account button. Your FASTag account will now be linked to Google Pay.

  9. You will now see a screen displaying your FASTag account.click to pay button there to make a payment (minimum 200 rupees).

  10. Now, click to pay button at the bottom of the screen.

  11. The Google Pay app will now ask you to enter your UPI Pin to proceed with the payment.

When payment is complete, you’ll receive a text message from the bank account linked to Google Pay. You can also make future payments to your linked FASTag account on the Google Pay app by going to the Business & Billing section.
