FASTag top-ups are a common need, and frequent commuters and travelers should keep some amount on hand for instant toll payment on their next trip. Although various popular apps can help you recharge your FASTag nowadays, in this article we are talking about how to recharge you using Paytm. It helps if you already have a Paytm account or have some ready money in your Paytm wallet. You just need to follow a few steps to top up your FASTag using the Paytm app. Alternatively, you can also top up using the Paytm website by logging into your wallet account.

How to top up FASTag from Paytm website

Before going into these steps, it is important to emphasize that you need to have your FASTag issuing bank and your vehicle number handy. You can also go to the next section to learn how to top up your FASTag using the Paytm app.

  1. Log in to the website, click sign up button in the upper right corner of the screen.

  2. Once logged in, select your FASTag issuing bank by clicking in the text box or by selecting one from the list available on the web page.

  3. Now, enter the vehicle number you linked to FASTag without spaces.

  4. You will now see the consumer name for FASTag. Verify once.

  5. Now, enter the amount you want to add to your FASTag account. It should be between Rs. 200 and Rs. 9,99,999.

  6. click continue button to complete the payment.

How to top up FASTag using Paytm app

If you don’t want to log into the Paytm website, you can top up your FASTag using the Paytm app.

  1. Open the Paytm app available on your smartphone.
  2. Now, click My top-ups and bills.
  3. Scroll down a bit to find the FASTag Top Up option under the City Services section.
  4. You now need to select your FASTag issuing bank.
  5. After selecting your bank, enter your vehicle number on the next screen.
  6. Now, click continue button.
  7. Enter an amount between Rupees. 200 and Rs. 9,99,999.
  8. beat continue button to start charging.

If you purchased FASTag via Paytm, your money will be automatically debited from your Paytm account. However, if you do not have enough money in your Paytm wallet, you should keep in mind that FASTag will only pay tolls 45 minutes after the wallet has been topped up.
