WhatsApp has recently added many useful features, one of which allows you to remove audio from a video before sending it to a chat or adding it to WhatsApp Status. The feature is currently rolling out on Android. The mute video feature comes in handy if you want to share a video without audio on WhatsApp. Until now, you had to rely on third-party apps to edit audio on videos, but now you can use the mute video feature directly within the app.
How to use WhatsApp’s mute video feature
- First, install the latest version of WhatsApp from Google Play on your Android device. If you can’t find the mute video icon, then you might not have received the feature yet as WhatsApp is gradually rolling it out on Android.
- Open any WhatsApp chat.
- click Attachment icon and click on the bottom camera icon If you want to record a video or click gallery icon Select a video.
- Now you will see the video on your screen where you can edit it. Click speaker icon The sound in the video can be deleted in the upper left corner. Once done, you can share the video without audio on WhatsApp.
WhatsApp has not yet revealed a timeline for when it will make the mute video icon available on its iPhone app, so if you have WhatsApp installed on your iPhone, you’ll have to wait a while to get the feature. For more tutorials, visit our how-to section.
