Originally launched in 2018, Phone Link provides seamless connectivity between phones and PCs via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and mobile data. Once connected, users can manage calls, reply to messages, get notifications, and access phone photos directly from their desktop.

To use Phone Link, users need to log in with a Microsoft account. Some features, such as calling, require Bluetooth to be enabled on both devices. Here’s a quick guide on how to set up Phone Link and start using its features.
- Open the Phone Link application on your Windows PC. If Phone Link is not installed on your computer yet, you can download it from the Microsoft Store
- A popup will appear, then select Android as your device type.
- Sign in with your Microsoft account
- Install on your Android phone Link to Windows Apps from the Google Play Store
- Open the app and log in with the same Microsoft account.
- tap Connect your phone and computerthen use the in-app camera to scan the QR code displayed on your computer.
After successfully linking your Android phone to your Windows PC, you will see a welcome screen confirming the connection. First, the user must grant access to contacts, messages, call logs, media, and notifications.
Once setup is complete, Phone Link will display its main functions at the top of the interface
The Phone link displays the main features at the top of the interface, including messages, calls, apps, and photos. Clicking the system tray icon displays recently used applications. Notifications appear in a dedicated left panel.
Once set up, you can send and receive text messages directly from your Windows PC, use Bluetooth to answer or make calls over your cellular network, and instantly access your recent photos. In addition to making calls, users can also access call logs and contacts on their Windows PC. It also allows you to drag, drop or copy images and paste them into other applications.
