WhatsApp can now be used to download your COVID-19 certificate online, and the government has introduced another easy way to get it. All WhatsApp users can follow an easy way to download their COVID-19 vaccination certificate instantly. This method has been introduced via the MyGov Corona Helpdesk chatbot on WhatsApp. The bot was launched last March to help prevent misinformation about the coronavirus pandemic. Earlier this year, the MyGov Corona Helpdesk bot also introduced the ability to find nearby COVID-19 vaccination centers.
How to get your COVID-19 vaccination certificate via MyGov Corona Helpdesk on WhatsApp
In order to get a vaccine certificate, you obviously need to get at least the first dose of the vaccine. The “vaccination” certificate issued after the second injection enables you to travel to countries open to Indians. In some cases, it can also allow you to bypass the authorization of a COVID-19 test. Follow the steps mentioned below to download your COVID-19 vaccination certificate using MyGov Corona Help Desk on WhatsApp:
-
save number +91 9013151515 on your phone. Go to WhatsApp and search for MyGov Corona Helpdesk bot. Alternatively, you can go to this link to open the MyGoV Corona Help Desk Chatbot.
-
enter and send “Coronavirus Certificate” or ‘download certificate’ in WhatsApp chatbots.
-
A six-digit one-time password will be sent to this number, which needs to be entered within 30 seconds.
-
The bot will display this number to all users registered on the CoWIN website and ask you to enter the number of the user whose certificate you want to download.
-
The certificate will be sent on WhatsApp in PDF format, which users can easily download and print or save for future use.
-
You can follow the same steps to download certificates for other users registered with the same number.
The COVID-19 vaccination certificate can also be downloaded through the CoWIN platform and the Aarogya Setu app. If you haven’t been vaccinated, there are several platforms that can help you book a vaccination spot at a nearby center. For example, HealthifyMe launched VaccinateMe.in earlier this year to help people search for nearby vaccination locations and get notified about available locations.
