The App Privacy Report is one of the strongest privacy features Apple revealed when it announced the iOS 15 update during the company’s WWDC 2021 event in June. The feature allows users to keep tabs on apps accessing data on their iPhone, such as their camera, microphone, contacts, or their location. When Apple released iOS 15 in September, it didn’t give users a way to view privacy reports — which was eventually included in the iOS 15.2 update that landed on December 13. Users can now easily monitor which apps are constantly accessing their information and denying permissions to those apps, while also tracking the URLs that apps connect to throughout the day.

If you own an iPhone 6s or newer smartphone and updated to iOS 15.2, you can now quickly check and stop apps like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or Tinder that might poll your location or access your camera roll . It’s worth noting that the feature is disabled by default, so users have to manually turn it on to provide any information.

Here’s how to quickly enable and use App Privacy Reporting on iOS 15.2:

  1. click set up icon and go to privacy.

  2. scroll down and click App Privacy Report

  3. To enable this feature, click Open the app privacy report.

  4. Check back in a few minutes to see the list of apps included in the report.

The App Privacy Reporting feature on iOS 15 provides users with an easy way to check permission usage, web activity, website web activity, and the most frequently contacted domains on their smartphones. After opening this information, you can learn about it in the following ways:

  1. click set up icon and go to privacy.
  2. scroll down and click App Privacy Report.
  3. Now click on any under Data and Sensor Access And check the timeline of the various permissions of access.
  4. under App web activity Click on an app to see how many (and which) domains the app has accessed.
  5. Click on some of the domains below Most contacted domains See which apps are accessing the domain.

According to Apple, the App Network Activity and Most Contacted Domains sections are designed to tell you if multiple apps are accessing a particular domain. This may indicate that the domain or website is building your profile by combining your activity in these apps.

The App Privacy Reporting feature will collect and display your last 7 days of usage data, but you can reset the information at any time. Here are the steps to reset or disable app privacy reporting on iOS 15.2:

  1. click set up icon and go to privacy.
  2. scroll down and click App Privacy Report.
  3. click now Turn off app privacy reporting at the bottom.
  4. If you want to disable this feature, please exit the Settings app. To reset usage data and start over, simply enable App Privacy Reporting using the steps mentioned at the beginning of this article.
