How to use PhonePe to charge FASTag

Before you begin, please note that the PhonePe application will display the existing available balance on your FASTag account. This helps you decide how much money you need to add to your last top-up. Also, you need to add your bank account on PhonePe to top up your FASTag.

  1. Open the PhonePe application on your Android smartphone or iPhone.

  2. click see all Options the Top Up and Pay Bills section of the homepage.

  3. Now, click FASTag recharge Under the Top Up section.

  4. You need to find your FASTag issuing bank. You can also use the search bar above the list of available FASTag banks on the PhonePe app.

  5. Once you find your bank, click on its name. You must now enter your vehicle registration number the text box that appears on the new screen. The number entered should not contain any spaces.

  6. Now, press confirm button. You will then see details about your FASTag account, including customer name and FASTag balance.

  7. Check the customer name and vehicle account number once, then enter the amount you want to add to your FASTag account.

  8. Select the bank account that will be used to top up. You can also add one of your existing bank accounts to PhonePe at this stage, if not already linked.

  9. You must now enter your UPI PIN to proceed with topping up.

Once your FASTag top-up is successful, you will receive an SMS from the bank on your registered number confirming the transaction details. You can also check the updated balance of your FASTag account through the FASTag top-up option available on PhonePe by selecting your FASTag issuing bank and entering your vehicle registration number. some cases, the bank will also notify the customer of the updated balance of their FASTag account via text message.
