These rumors have been consistent throughout much of Notre Dame’s offseason. After Notre Dame was snubbed by the College Football Playoff Committee, fans are wondering when the Irish will announce a contract extension with head coach Marcus Freeman. Instead, we’re getting more and more NFL rumors – especially surrounding the New York Giants.
There was nothing but crickets throughout, until Marcus finally tweeted that he would bring the event back in 2026. While that puts a damper on any moves this year, it still leaves some Irish fans feeling a bit uneasy about the future.
