The Google Workspace personal paid upgrade announced in 2021 has now received improvements from the search engine giant, including increased storage capacity and advanced email personalization. Google Workspace personal accounts will now include 1TB of secure cloud storage, which will be automatically upgraded from the existing 15 GB of storage, a company blog post confirms. Meanwhile, Google Workspace Personal’s multi-send mode now allows users to incorporate tags like @firstname, allowing each recipient to receive a personalized email. Additionally, emails sent more than once will by default include a link to an “unsubscribe” option, which will allow recipients to stop receiving emails.
According to the blog post, Google is also expanding the Google Workspace subscription service to other regions, including the Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, the Netherlands, Portugal, Belgium, Finland, Greece and Argentina. However, India is still not included in the list.
The search giant also confirmed Workspace’s list of upcoming features with another blog post. The list of upcoming features includes native integration of electronic signatures on Google Docs, which will allow users to collaborate on executing agreements without switching tabs or apps.
Google will seek to limit the need for users to download draft copies for review, with an upcoming update that will integrate collaborative comments, suggestions, and signature requests into Google Docs. After adding the signature, the full PDF contract will be emailed to both parties without the need to download a copy again.
Users can also add fields to the document by dragging and dropping signature and date fields in the branded document. The blog post confirms that the progress of the contract will also be monitored and tracked through an upcoming update. Available in 2021, a paid personal upgrade to Google Workspace is available for individual small business owners and includes advanced features like smart booking services, professional video conferencing, personalized email marketing, and more.
