According to a report by 9to5Google, users have until February 24, 2021 to download, transfer or their from Google Play Music, after which all data will be wiped out. Google is urging users to move to its other music streaming service, YouTube Music, by the aforementioned date.

According to a 9to5Google report, Google has started sending emails to users notifying them that all Google Play Music data will be on February 24, 2021. This data includes the music library, which includes uploads, purchases, and anything purchased from Google Play Music. Data will be deleted on February 24th and cannot be recovered.

Users can visit or the or iOS to view transfer to YouTube quickly. They will be redirected to YouTube Music, where the transfer takes place. Transfers include playlists, songs, albums, likes, upload purchases, and information.

Here, there is another Manage your music options. You can download your music library, your recommendation history, or even delete your entire Google Play music library. If you choose to download your music library, you will be redirected to Google Takeout, from which you can export a copy of your Google Play Music data.

Google began shutting down Google Play Music in October last year. By December, it officially shut down and encouraged users to turn to YouTube Music. So far, Google has kept users’ music and data on Google Play Music, but it will be deleted on February 24. Meanwhile, Google has rolled out new features for YouTube Music to encourage users to switch.
