Google and Unity launch game developer training program

At the Google I/O Connect conference in Bengaluru, the company announced its partnership with Unity, the leading 3D content creation platform behind popular games such as Free Fire and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. The partnership resulted in the Google Play X Unity Game Developer Training, a free certification program for aspiring professional game developers in India.

The program, powered by GDAI, offers over 30 hours of online training across three learning tracks: Game Developer, Artist, and Programmer. It is designed to provide participants with much-needed industry skills and help them gain certification in Unity.

Google has partnered with the governments of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh to launch the program in partnership with 500 developers. The tech giant has confirmed plans to expand the program nationwide. Google claims that the Google Play X Unity game developer training program has been successful in Indonesia and has helped 1,500 developers in the past three years.
