Happy Easter to all who celebrate! The Kansas City Royals have a chance to take on a very good Brewers team in the series this afternoon. Yesterday, an early offense helped the Brewers win 5-2 in Game 1 of a doubleheader, and a big 6th inning lead led the Royals to an 8-2 victory, splitting the doubleheader.
The Royals are currently 4-4 on the season and 3-2 at home, so in addition to trying to make the series a win, a win today would also make it a home win. They’ll play a quick three-game series starting tomorrow in Cleveland before returning home for a four-game series against the Chicago White Sox.

Last Easter in Detroit, with Tarik Skubal as the starting pitcher, the Royals won 4-3 in overtime to end a horrific road trip and avoid a sweep in a four-game series with the Tigers.
Chris Bubic started today for the Royals. The left-hander got off to a strong start in Monday’s home opener against the Twins. Bubik went 6 innings, striking out four, allowing just one run (a solo home run) and walking three.
Bubic did start in Milwaukee last season, going 6 innings, allowing 3 hits, walking in 2, striking out 8 batters, and allowing zero runs.
With the Brewers also fielding lefties today, the Royals opted to go with a more right-handed heavy lineup. This is the starter behind Bubic.
Additionally, the Royals will wear different uniforms at home today for the first time since 2008.
As for the Brewers, they have been the epitome of consistency in baseball over the past decade. For a small market team, they always seem to win a lot of games in the playoffs. Here’s their lineup behind Kyle today
Harrison.
The first game is scheduled for 1:10 PM Central Time and can be streamed live on Royals.TV.
