Only a handful of top-flight games have been won since September, leading to speculation that Richard Hughes and his FSG sponsors may make changes in the dugout.
The 47-year-old Sloter’s contract only runs until 2027, which means the club does not have to pay a large compensation package.
While the Reds remain in contention for a Champions League spot, they are unlikely to sack Slott, but his position is expected to be reviewed in the off-season.

De Zerbi leaves Marseille
Roberto De Zerbi, 46, won praise at Brighton before moving to Ligue 1 side Marseille.

Marseille issued a statement confirming that a mutual decision had been taken – De Zerbi is very popular in the market now.
