Musgrave appeared in 10 games in two seasons in Denver, completing 60.9 percent of his passes for 369 yards, two interceptions and no touchdowns. In the 1996 season, he started as a substitute and had a record of 0 wins and 1 loss.
After hanging up his boots, Musgrave began his coaching career in 1997 as the quarterbacks coach with the Oakland Raiders. He worked with seven NFL teams and a college program before returning to the Broncos in 2017. He coached quarterbacks in Denver and served as interim offensive coordinator in 2017 before taking over full-time OC duties in 2018.
After the Broncos fired Vic Fangio, Musgrave spent three years in college before returning to the NFL in 2023 as a senior offensive assistant with the Cleveland Browns. He held that title for two seasons before coaching Cleveland’s quarterbacks in 2025 and taking the same position with the Jets in the offseason.
