Robot vacuum cleaners have revolutionized the smart home category, making tedious household chores easier with minimal human effort. These machines automate daily cleaning tasks and come with smart features such as mapping, vacuuming and mopping. They have become a must-have in modern homes. Dreame F10 is the latest product from Xiaomi sister brand Dreame in this field.
The Dreame F10 is a robot vacuum cleaner that doesn’t have an outrageous price tag. Its price is competitive with top-of-the-line models from brands like Agaro, Eureka Forbes, and iRobot. It may not be Dreame’s most premium offering (unlike the top-end X40 Ultra, which is priced at Rs 1,29,999), but it’s certainly not an entry-level model either.
Priced at Rs. 21,999, the Dreame F10 comes with vacuuming and mopping capabilities, as well as auto-charging support, making it a compelling mid-range option. Amazon is currently offering the device at Rs. 16,999, significantly lower than the original price.
We’ve been testing the Dreame F10 for the past week. Is it worth the investment compared to other popular robot vacuum cleaners on the market? Let’s take a closer look at how it performs in real-world use, checking aspects like navigation, battery life, cleaning efficiency, and maintenance.
Dreame F10: Box contents and design
The Dreame F10’s retail box contains the robot pre-installed with mop pads and cleaning tools, charging stand, side brush, water tank and documentation. Dreame has not included a cleaning solution with this model. The robot cleaner has a smooth disc shape with a raised area on top that houses the navigation system. It has a matte finish. It comes with a 570ml dust bag and a 235ml mopping water tank. There are two buttons on the top for starting or pausing cleaning and returning to the dock. These can be used to control the cleaner’s core functions without the need to set up an app, but the full functionality of the device can only be accessed through the paired app.

Initial setup of the Dreame F10 is simple via the Dreamehome app, which is available on iOS and Android. The charging stand can be connected to a power source for charging. The robot has a QR code, and once you connect it to a Wi-Fi network, the app will guide you through the installation. The setup is nearly identical to the Dreame L10s Ultra and Dreame X40 Ultra (review).
After powering on, Dreame F10 will quickly create a virtual map of the floor plan. In less than five minutes, it recognized the walls, furniture, bedrooms, and cabinets in my 1,200-square-foot apartment. Once you’ve drawn your map, you can customize the layout by marking rooms, setting no-go areas, and virtual walls. However, I did notice a few minor bugs. It incorrectly counted my bedroom twice, probably because of the area next to the box bed, and also identified the foyer entrance as a bedroom. Still, the map is spot-on and covers every corner of the house.
The Dreame Home app also allows setting up multi-story maps for people in double-story buildings. You can see the charging status and cleaning status of the robot on the paired APP. We can schedule cleaning cycles, vacuuming or mopping, or both at the same time in specific rooms or areas, and create off-limits, no-mopping zones for areas you don’t want cleaned.
On the second cleaning run, I set the common areas of the kitchen as off-limits and the Dreame F10 followed it accurately without entering the marked space. In addition to the app, it can be controlled via Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Siri.
Dreame F10: Cleaning and overall performance
The Dreame F10 features a rubber floating brush that effectively removes everything from dust to shoulder-length hair. This vacuum cleaner and mop combo has up to 13,000Pa of suction power to remove crumbs and pet hair before mopping. For dry stains and challenging spills, a few runs are needed.
With the Dreame F10, you can choose to vacuum, mop or a combination of both depending on your cleaning requirements. The device has four power modes – Quiet, Standard, Strong and Turbo – with the latter providing maximum suction but consuming more battery.

I spent 48 minutes sweeping and mopping my 2BHK apartment in Turbo mode and the noise level was tolerable. You can schedule it to clean when you’re away from your phone, so your weekends are chore-free. The 2-in-1 vacuum and mop system is efficient and lightweight; the robot weighs 3.28 kg, while the compact dock weighs 0.38 kg. The lightweight construction has one drawback: the robot occasionally moves its base out of place when it returns to charge. Thanks to the adjustable low, medium, and high water flow settings, the mop surface comes out clean and free of streaks and excess water. Attention to water control can help prevent stains from appearing on your marble.
The suction power of the Dreame F10 is impressive for its price range. It also has a new carpet boost feature that automatically adjusts suction power based on carpet thickness, making it ideal for homes with fully carpeted floors. In my case, I only had a few small rugs in the bedroom and living area, and the robot sometimes dragged my lightweight cotton bath mat along during the cleaning process. So after the first run I had to roll them up to prevent the robot from going over them. It occasionally missed corners or tight spots during its operation, but in open and accessible areas, the robot cleaned effectively.
Compact charging base
The Dreame F10 uses the intelligent Pathfinder navigation system to scan and map rooms to create cleaning routes. This feature handles cliff detection and movement across multiple surfaces. It is said to have a climbing height of up to 20 mm, making it ideal for various floors in Indian homes. In my testing, navigation worked very well. In addition to occasionally dragging the lighter pad, it deftly avoided obstacles such as some furniture and laundry bags, even those that weren’t present during the initial mapping process.
The Dreame F10 robot vacuum doesn’t come with an auto-emptying base, so after every cleaning cycle we had to remove the hair tangled around the brushes and clogged filters, and clean the mop pad to ensure it continued to perform at its best. The dust bag also needs to be emptied once a week to avoid getting too full, but in larger homes with children and pets, it may need to be emptied constantly.
Dreame F10: Battery life
The Dreame F10 comes with a 5,200mAh battery and the company promises up to 300 minutes of use on a single charge. During my testing, it successfully vacuumed and mopped an entire area on a single charge, which took about 45 minutes. When the battery is low, it automatically returns to the base to charge.
Charging from 0% to 100% takes approximately one hour. After charging, it resumes cleaning where it left off. The bot also issues voice alerts for battery level and other important updates.
In Turbo mode, the robot takes about 50 minutes to thoroughly vacuum and mop the entire house. In this mode, which consumes more power and has stronger suction power, the device still has 50% power left after the operation is completed.
judgment
The Dreame F10 is a solid choice for small to medium-sized homes, especially those with open floors and minimalist furniture. For its price, it also performs quite well on carpeted areas. If you live in a larger home with a mix of hardwood floors, carpeted rooms, and shag carpeting, this robot vacuum may not be the ideal choice. While it lacks advanced features like the self-drying system found in premium models, it still offers powerful and commendable cleaning performance for regular home cleaning in its price segment.
With voice assistant support and app control, the Dreame F10 offers many of the smart features found in higher-end models, but at a fraction of the cost. If you are a budget shopper looking for a full-featured 2-in-1 robot mop and vacuum, then you can stop your search here.
