Dispatch, Episodic Superhero Game Starring Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul, Sells 1 Million Copies in 10 Days

Dispatch is an episodic superhero narrative game that launched on October 22 and has sold 1 million copies. Developer AdHoc Studio announced on Tuesday that the game hit a sales milestone just 10 days after its release. Dispatch is an episodic adventure game with episodes 1, 2, 3 and 4 now available on PC and PS5. Episodes 5 and 6 will be released this week, with the final two episodes set to be released on November 12.

AdHoc Studio shared the update in a post on X. “2 days. 80 million copies sold. That’s great. But we sold 1 million copies in 10 days. Still pretty good,” the studio said. That’s an impressive return for an indie narrative game. Sales are likely to grow as more episodes are released.

On Steam, Dispatch’s concurrent player count has reached a peak of 65,999, according to SteamDB charts. It ranks sixth on the Steam bestseller list, behind only Football Manager 26, which ranks fifth, and Battlefield 6, which ranks fourth.

After its release, “Dispatch” briefly topped the Steam best-selling list, ahead of “Battlefield 6” and “PowerWash Simulator 2”. At the time, AdHoc thanked players for choosing the game.

“We would like to express our sincere gratitude to those who played the game on day one. The overwhelming support and enthusiasm from our community has been instrumental in the game’s success,” the studio said.

“Our studio’s first launch has started off in an amazing way. The response has truly blown us away.”

This narrative-driven superhero adventure game plays like an animated TV show, a self-proclaimed superhero workplace comedy in which players take on the role of Robert Robertson, a former superhero who is now the dispatcher of a team of villains-turned-superheroes.

Notably, Dispatch features a stellar cast voicing the game’s characters, including Aaron Paul of “Breaking Bad” fame in the title role. Other cast members include Jeffrey Wright, Erin Yvette and Laura Bailey, as well as popular YouTubers such as Jacksepticeye, MoistCr1TiKaL, Joel Haver and Alanah Pearce.
