Discovery+ is going global. Since its debut in India in March and then launched in the UK and Ireland last month, Discovery has announced that it will promote its streaming service ambitions globally. Discovery+ will be launched in the United States on January 4, 2021, and will continue to be promoted in Italy, Latin America (including Brazil), the Netherlands, Northern Europe and Spain in 2021. However, Verizon customers (according to a specific plan) do not need to pay anything for the first 12 months because Discovery+ is free. All members can access four streams at the same time, and can create up to five user profiles. Discovery+ promised at the launch event to provide more than 55,000 episodes, covering more than 2500 shows, including HGTV, Food Network, TLC, ID, OWN, Travel Channel, Discovery Channel and Animal Planet, it claims to be the largest new streaming media ever service product.
