With rival fans and some pundits claiming the air is leaking out of Hearts’ bubble after conceding a few points, a victory over champions Celtic could make them reconsider their views.
Hearts’ bubble is very much inflated after their 2-1 win and if anyone thought they were about to relinquish their spot at the top of the table, they should think again.

While the focus this season has been on Hearts’ new signings – with the likes of Claudio Braga and Alessandro Kizridis attracting much of the attention – the standout player is now in his fifth season at Tynecastle.
When Cammy Devlin joined the club in the summer of 2021, few had heard of him. Since then, he has made over 120 appearances for Hearts and featured in all 21 games this season.
The 27-year-old is currently playing the best football of his life and was a deserved Man of the Match in the win at Parkhead. No wonder Derek McInnes is so keen on signing the midfielder to a new contract to keep him at Tynecastle beyond next summer.
Devlin won the most duels of any player at Celtic Park on Sunday (12) and, along with Tomas Magnusson, had the most possessions at Hearts (eight).

Devlin, who is in good form and has played four times for the national team, is a strong contender for Australia’s World Cup squad next year.
The chances are huge for Hearts this week – with victory over Falkirk on Saturday night to move six points clear at the top of the table.
However, the Baines, under the astute management of former Jambo John McGlynn, have seamlessly entered the top flight for the first time in 15 years and will not be easily beaten.
