Prior to joining the Lions, Shaw served as senior personnel executive with the Denver Broncos through 2024.

Shaw’s NFL coaching experience began in 1997 as the Philadelphia Eagles’ offensive quality control coach. Shaw subsequently served as offensive quality control coach with the Oakland Raiders (1998-00), quarterbacks coach with the Raiders (2001), quarterbacks and wide receivers coach with the Baltimore Ravens (2002-05) and passing game coordinator and wide receivers coach with San Diego (2006).
