Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro has not yet received official confirmation. Before the release, even in the early trailers, due to the recently released MIUI 12 beta and its display details, it is recommended to use Mi 11 Pro. The internal code of the beta version suggests displaying QHD+ on the new Mi series flagship phones. Mi 11 Pro also seems to have the ability to automatically switch between Quad HD+ and Full-HD+ resolutions to provide performance and power efficiency under one roof.
As reported by XDA Developers, the recent beta version of MIUI 12 based on Android 11 includes a reference for a QHD+ resolution display with 1,440×3,200 pixels. Interestingly, there are no phones with QHD+ resolution in Xiaomi’s product portfolio. Therefore, it is believed that this beta version hints at the development of Mi 11 Pro. This also confirms the rumors previously published on Weibo, suggesting the QHD+ display of the next-generation Mi phones.
The string in the MIUI 12 beta version indicates that the new smartphone may automatically switch between Quad HD+ and Full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) resolutions to “save battery”.
In addition to higher resolution, the MIUI 12 beta version also indicates that Mi 11 Pro may support MEMC, SDR to HDR tone mapping, and AI amplification.
Xiaomi may announce the release of Mi 11 Pro together with Mi 11 at the Qualcomm Snapdragon 2020 technology summit in early December. It is expected that these two new Mi series phones will be equipped with the next-generation Snapdragon SoC suggested by rumors, namely Snapdragon875. In addition, it is rumored that both Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro have a 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and enhanced image stabilization.
