Country music star arrested on vehicular homicide charge. Here’s the latest

Kata Hay, a country music singer who rose to fame on “The Voice,” was arrested in Tennessee in December and charged with vehicular homicide.

Hay, whose real name is Kata Huddleston, was taken into custody after a BOLO was issued against her at the Goodlettsville Police Department.

She was extradited back to Nashville on Jan. 11, the last real update on her case.

The 39-year-old singer “has an outstanding arrest warrant for vehicular homicide in connection with a crash on Long Hollow Pike near Interstate 65,” the Goodlettsville Police Department’s BOLO said in December.

Police said at the time they had “reason to believe she may be en route to Oklahoma, traveling with a white male and possibly towing a large camper.”

Goodlettsville police later posted on December 17 that Huddleston had been arrested in Oklahoma and would be extradited back to Davidson County.

She also faces charges of driving under the influence as well as leaving the scene of an accident causing more than $1,500 worth of damage and opening a container, the outlet said. Huddleston is also on probation for a 2017 DUI in Nashville, according to Whiskey Riff.

The singer was sentenced to six months in prison after pleading guilty to sexual contact with a minor, WKRN reported.

Huddleston lands 10th on ‘The Voice’th season. She was a member of Christina Aguilera’s team and finished in the top 20, but was eliminated in the first week of the playoffs.
