Arsenal midfielder Christian Norgaard wants to leave Mikel Arteta’s side at the end of the season, according to The Sun. The Dane joined the Gunners from Brentford last summer but is yet to start a Premier League game for the club at the Emirates Stadium. The form of summer signing Martin Zubimendi has limited Nogaard to just four appearances as a substitute in the league. The 31-year-old has made 14 appearances in all competitions for Arsenal and has been praised by his teammates for his dedication.

Norgaard is always one of the last to leave Arsenal’s training ground but he is keen to play more games and could feature in the summer. He’s not the only player seeking regular football, as Ben White also has transfer options. The 28-year-old has featured in 19 games for the north London side this season, including 13 starts. However, White wants more and may be open to an exit after losing his place in Arsenal’s starting XI in recent seasons.
Arteta has strengthened his defense in recent seasons, making it difficult for the Englishman to return to the team even if he is fully fit and available for selection. Regardless of the Gunners’ pursuit of trophies this season, the Gunners are expected to further bolster their options in various departments during the summer transfer window. They sit top of the Premier League table with ten games remaining and hold a comfortable draw in the Champions League. Arsenal will face Bayer Leverkusen in the last 16 of Europe’s elite competition as they look to have a chance of advancing to the quarter-finals.
