Chiefs-Rams trade: KC sends Trent McDuffie to LA for bevy of picks

The Kansas City Chiefs are officially working on revamping their roster after a failed 2025 season and missing the AFC playoffs.

In the first major trade of the 2026 offseason, the Chiefs traded star defensive back Trent McDuffie to the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for a package of draft picks that included the No. 29 pick in April’s NFL draft.

McDuffie has been with Kansas City since joining the Chiefs as a first-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft and is one of the top cornerbacks in the NFL.

On March 4, NFL insider Adam Schefter detailed to fans on Twitter what Kansas City was getting in exchange for McDuffie:
