The Buchanan wrestling program remains dominant, and somehow the Bears keep rewriting history.
The men’s and women’s teams each won state titles at this weekend’s CIF State Championships in Bakersfield. The feat made Buchanan the first school to have two teams win championships in the same year.

The girls won their first title in program history with 147.5 points. This is the tenth state championship for the boys program, which was separated by 59 points from second place.
Central Valley has a strong presence in the tournament this season, showing how strong its wrestling talent is compared to the rest of California. Clovis finished fourth as a team and Clovis North finished sixth.
