Korean boy band BTS cancels four shows in SeoulTake the global coronavirus outbreak as an example.
The popular boy band was originally scheduled to perform at the Olympic Stadium on April 11, 12, 18 and 19.
When South Korea cancelled the virus, South Korea reported a rapid increase in the virus's case, which is believed to originate in China and then spread worldwide.
Earlier Friday, the Korean Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that the country has confirmed more than 2,000 confirmed cases. New coronavirus has killed 13 people in South Korea so far.
In a statement on Friday, the band's record label, Big Hit Entertainment, said coronavirus "is currently unable to predict the scale of the outbreak during the April concert." It said ticket holders will receive a full refund.
Big Hit Entertainment said 200,000 people are expected to participate in the cancelled show.
The group's record albums broke many records and their music videos quickly gained millions of views on YouTube.
Earlier this month, Spotify announced that BTS had exceeded 8 billion streams on its platform.
BTS has recently become the first Korean musical to be performed at Grammy's, and has appeared alongside Lil Nas X, Billy Ray Cyrus and Diplo.
