Warner Bros. has released the official trailer for the long-awaited film Black Adam and Shazam! Wrath the Gods returns to San Diego Comic-Con for its 2022 edition.

The studio stuck to its 2022 title during the presentation, and didn’t reveal anything about what’s coming flash and Aquaman sequel, starring controversial stars Ezra Miller and Amber Heard respectively.

The cast was joined by director and actors Aldis Hodge (Hawkman), Noah Centineo (Atom Smasher) and Quintessa Swindell (Cyclone) during the film’s screening.

At one point, Johnson raised an eyebrow after a viewer asked him how Black Adam would fight Superman.

The actor replied, “It probably all depends on who’s playing Superman,” adding to the uncertainty surrounding Hollywood star Henry Cavill’s role as Iron Man in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU).

Team Shazam! Wrath the Gods – Zachary Levi, Arthur Angel, Jack Dylan Grazer, Lucy Liu and director David F. Sandberg – revealed the film’s official trailer.

The film is the sequel to Levi’s 2019 hit Shazam.

Warner Bros. didn’t introduce Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and The Flash, due out in 2023, as Warner Bros. continues to find itself tangled up in Miller and Heard’s respective personal issues.

Miller, the star Andy Muschietti’s “The Flash,” was arrested twice this year in Hawaii on charges of disorderly conduct and battery.

Heard recently made headlines due to a high-profile defamation trial in which her ex-husband Johnny Depp sued her over a 2018 Washington Post op-ed that he said suggested he physically abused her.

Before then, “Black Adam” is scheduled to open in theaters on October 21. Shazam! Wrath the Gods will be released on December 21st.
