Amazon appears to have teased the launch of Prime Gaming in India, the company’s subscription service bundled with Prime members that offers free PC games each month, in-game content, and select Twitch perks for members in eligible regions. The service is not yet available to subscribers in India, where the Prime membership only offers mobile games. That could change soon if you take a close look at the teaser trailer posted on Amazon’s India website, which has since been removed by the company.

According to reports, the e-retail giant recently released details about its Prime Gaming offering, with a banner image announcing that the service is now live in India and promising free monthly PC games to Prime members. Users received the update quickly, before Amazon removed the page. “With Prime Gaming (included with your Prime membership), you get instant access to a wealth of game-exclusive content and a rotating collection of PC games… every month,” the announcement said before disappearing from Amazon’s website. It’s unclear if Amazon actually intended to offer the service here, or if the promotional offer was a mistake.

The Prime Gaming website says the service isn’t supported in India, listing the country as an eligible region for the “mobile-only offer.” On its Prime page, Amazon India also lists Prime Gaming as a mobile-only service that offers free in-game content across international and Indian mobile games.

Prime Gaming is a rebrand of Amazon’s Twitch Prime service, which offers a free monthly subscription to one Twitch streamer in addition to free games on PC. Twitch subscription prices were reduced in India and several other countries last year to comply with regional pricing systems.

Currently, a one-month subscription costs Rs. 110 rupees on web browser. 120 Grant users channel custom badges and a host of emotes to use through the phone app. The now-deleted Prime Gaming page never mentions this feature, but internationally, by design, it’s closely tied to the free games of the month. Users need to link their Twitch accounts to their respective platforms — such as .net — to claim items or codes.

Currently, Amazon offers free shipping, Prime Video, Prime Music, Prime Games (mobile only), early access to sitewide deals, Kindle deals, and a rewards points system to Prime members in the country.
