MAGA influencer and gun rights activist Kyle Rittenhouse has reemerged from a self-imposed social media exile to announce his marriage to a gun-toting bride.

“I’m back on social media, I’m back in the fight, and I’m here to stay,” Rittenhouse, 22, wrote on Wednesday. “Quick update, 6 months ago I made the best decision of my life and married my best friend. @BellRittenhouse I couldn’t be happier. I love you beautiful.”

Kyle is married to Bella Nelson Rittenhouse, 22, of Defuniak Springs, Florida. In wedding photos posted on social media, Bella is seen wearing a wedding dress and holding an AR-style rifle with a custom pink rear sight and front sight.

The two appear to have tied the knot in June. Bella Rittenhouse’s Instagram account published a post dated June 8, 2025, which showed the couple’s wedding photos. After the wedding, Kyle and Bella attended Charlie Kirk’s memorial service in September.

Kyle first came to national attention in 2020 when he killed two people and injured a third during a Black Lives Matter protest in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Rittenhouse, then 17 years old, traveled from Illinois to Wisconsin armed with an AR-15 to “defend local businesses” at Black Lives Matter protests following the police shooting of Jacob Blake. There, he shot and killed Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber after they tried to wrest his rifle from him. Rittenhouse shot and wounded Gage Grosskreutz after Grosskreutz pointed a handgun at him.

Rittenhouse was charged with homicide in Wisconsin, and his trial made national news. He was eventually acquitted in November 2021 after the court ruled that his actions were self-defense.

Since his acquittal, Kyle has moved to the bride’s hometown and has become a darling of the right-wing media. He’s been interviewed by Tucker Carlson, met with Donald Trump, and spoken at Turning Point America, advocating for the Second Amendment alongside Charlie Kirk and Jack Posobik.

MAGA-friendly representatives offered him an internship on Capitol Hill, but he ended up working at a gun store in Florida. Rittenhouse disappeared from social media for much of 2025.

In a response to his social media comeback, Rittenhouse vowed to work to defeat Texas Republican Rep. Tony Gonzalez in the upcoming party primary in March 2026. Gonzalez is the only Texas Republican to vote for moderate gun reform bills in 2022.

He also revealed that the families of Rittenhouse’s victims and Grosskreutz “are still suing him for $20 million.”
