Ford’s next-generation infotainment system Sync 4, will debut in the coming era Mustang Mach 2021 And the redesigned F-150 will include car navigation (standard on Mustang Mach-E, optional on F-150), with real-time traffic updates supported by TomTom, a Dutch positioning technology provider.
TomTom Traffic can handle “getting more than 70 million hours of driving time from millions of connected devices every day,” and these real-time traffic updates are brought to you. Ford claims that the enhanced processing power of the new Sync 4 system can update the navigation system every 30 seconds.
In addition to real-time traffic information and updated route guides, Mustang Mach-E owners will also be able to use the car’s smart range function to more accurately measure the available range and guide the car to nearby charging stations when necessary. (Other fully electric vehicles have similar functions and can be used to plan longer trips beyond the total trip of the vehicle.)
According to Ford, the 2021 F-150 will be available this fall, and the Mustang Mach-E should be delivered by the end of 2020.
