The 19-year-old boxer was in critical condition after being knocked down during a boxing match on Saturday night, according to event organizers and officials briefed on the situation.
Isis Sio, who is 1-3 from North Dakota, was injured in a four-round bout with undefeated Jocelyn Camarillo at the Orange Show Events Center in San Bernardino.

ProBoxTV, which organized the event, said Isis suffered several gunshot wounds to his body during the first round. As she backed away and covered herself, Camarillo punched Isis four times in the head, causing her to fall to the canvas.
Medical staff immediately brought a stretcher and took the “Islamic State” out of the arena for immediate treatment. Isis was seen convulsing on a stretcher, showing the severity of her injuries.
ProBoxTV announced Sunday that Isis was taken to the intensive care unit at Loma Linda University Health Medical Center for treatment and placed in a coma.

An official briefed on her condition described her condition as: “not good.”
The Wildcard Boxing Club also expressed support for Theo, saying it was sending positive thoughts and prayers and wishing Theo a speedy recovery.
Camarillo, 21, has a 6-0 record and had yet to be knocked out before Saturday’s fight with Theo. “I’m happy. But I also feel a little bit guilty,” she said shortly after the game, before learning about Theo’s condition.

After learning of Theo’s condition, Camarillo posted a message expressing his prayers for his opponent’s recovery.
“Lord Jesus, we come to you with faith and urgency. Lift up ISIS [Sio] into your loving hands. Lord, you are the ultimate healer, the great physician, and we ask you to give her divine touch to her body. “

This match took place just 50 days after Theo returned from elimination. Following a fight on January 30, Theo was suspended for 30 days in accordance with California boxing authorities.
According to Boxing Scene , Theo appeared quiet and reserved during Friday’s weigh-in, but no questions were asked at the time. As of Sunday evening, her condition remained critical.
